For a multi-vehicle service business, the way stops are arranged is worth reviewing with dispatch and the crew. A map alone does not show everything that makes a route workable.
Include the real constraints
Customer windows, job length, skills, parts and urgent work all affect who can go where. Agree which constraints a routing tool must respect before trying it.
Compare a normal week
Use a sample of real jobs to compare possible routes with the current approach. Include the time needed to prepare the plan and make changes during the day.
Check the result with the team
A shorter route is not automatically a better day if it leaves unrealistic appointment times. Look at actual travel and customer experience before claiming a saving or extra capacity.
What makes your routes hardest to organise: geography, urgent calls, job lengths or matching the right technician to the work?
