Retention Burnout Scheduling

Schedules can show patterns worth discussing with the crew. Repeated overtime, long travel days or a growing load of urgent calls may deserve a closer look.

Look for patterns, then ask

Review hours and assignments over a useful period. Check the context with the people involved rather than assuming the numbers explain how someone feels.

Discuss what could change

Appointment windows, training needs, skills and on-call arrangements may limit your options. A clearer dispatch process or different allocation of work could be worth testing.

Use information to support people

Workload data does not prove burnout or predict who will leave. Avoid labelling people from a software score. A direct conversation may tell you more about what is working and what needs attention.

Which part of your schedule creates the hardest days for the crew, and how do you hear about it?
